Trust Center

Clean should be something you can see—not a vague promise.

Here is what ThrowFun protects today, what members control, and what still needs to be finished before a broad public launch.

How it works today

A feed you can explain

The Everyone, Following, and Friends feeds are newest-first. ThrowFun does not secretly move angry posts to the top to keep you scrolling.

Clean before public

Member-written public text goes through automated checks before it appears. If the checker is unavailable, publishing fails closed instead of posting unchecked content.

Privacy at the action

Message, follow, wall, and reply permissions are checked when someone acts. Blocks and ignores are applied again on the server, not trusted to a hidden button alone.

Reports preserve evidence

A report saves a limited snapshot for the review queue. Members can report and block in one step without retyping the harmful content.

Community standard

Real life is welcome. Abuse is not.

Clean does not mean fake-happy. Grief, hard days, respectful disagreement, faith, doubt, humor, and honest conversation belong here. Harassment, explicit content, threats, hate, scams, cruel mockery, and rage bait do not.

Controls in your hands

  • Choose who can message, follow, comment, and write on your page
  • Block, ignore, mute words, or hide reaction counts
  • Control active status, footprints, tags, and discovery
  • Use larger text, higher contrast, dark mode, and reduced motion
  • Download your data, sign out other devices, or take a reversible break

Plain-spoken limits

What we will not pretend is finished

  • Messages are private by account permissions, but ThrowFun does not currently claim end-to-end encryption.
  • Automated moderation may send text to an external checking service. Do not put passwords, financial details, or highly sensitive information in a Throw.
  • Reports are reviewed inside ThrowFun, but they are not an emergency service. Contact local emergency help when someone is in immediate danger.
  • Age-aware teen and family protections, verified email recovery, production-scale storage, and formal legal policies are required before an open public beta.
